Recently I have noticed that some people are having troubles with the ranches. Either they don't know what blocks help which types or other questions, I figured I would make this. This will hopefulls answer all questions regarding breeding. So let us begin.

To start the breeding process, you will need two pixelmon of opposite genders. The exceptions to this are Ditto and any other genderless pixelmon(excluding Legendaries, as they can not be bred). In order for an egg to be produced, the two pixelmon must be in the same Egg Group. The egg groups are as followed: Amorphous, Water 1, Water 2, Water 3, Bug, Grass, Fairy, Human-Like, Field, Monster, Flying, Mineral, Dragon, Ditto, and Undiscovered. The Undiscovered Egg Group can not breed at all, and the Ditto Egg Group can breed with any pixelmon not in the Ditto Egg Group or the Undiscovered Egg Group. So far, only 2 pixelmon in the mod will not produce their base form when bred, as the parent needs to be holding an incense. These two pixelmon are Snorlax and Wobbufet. To get a Munchlax, the parent SNorlax must be holding a Full Incense, and to get a Wynaut, the parent Wobbuffet must be holding a Lax Incense.

Now that we got that out of the way, let's get to breeding! To begin breeding, you must first craft the Ranch Block. The recipe for that is a Flower Pot, a PC, and a Piston, all in a row. You can put any 6 pixelmon from your PC into the Ranch block. When pixelmon are placed in the Ranch, they will wander around in a 9x9 block radius around the Ranch. If out of any 6 of those pixelmon are compatible to breed, the process of making an egg will begin. For 2 pixelmon to breed, they must first love eachother. To make that happen, the environment around them (the 9x9 block radius) must have blocks that suit the typing of the 2 pixelmon. The environment around them must be sufficient enough or else they will not breed. It is easier to make a single-typed pixelmon to be satisfied with it's environment then a dual-typed pixelmon. In most cases, the rarer the block is, the more satisfaction it will give to the breeding pixelmon. The Ranch will only take into account the highest blocks in the 9x9 block radius, so breeding will not work underground. This also means that, sadly, no fancy roofs for your breeding areas. The biome the Ranch is not placed in will not affect how pixelmon breed, as it would suck terribly if it did. The radius of the Ranch can be increased to a max of 15x15 blocks, using Ranch Upgrades. Boss pokemon will drop these, and players may sell them.

Now for the blocks for each type and how much satisfaction they give.

Now that that is out of the way, let's get to the messages that you will get when you click the pixelmon you put in the ranch while they are wandering about. There are 8 possible things that will show up in chat and each one has a different meaning.

1.
Message- "[insert pixelmon name here] has no one to fall in love with!"
Meaning- You only put one Pixelmon in the Ranch, whaddaya doin'?
Time Until Egg-A little over an eternity

2.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] doesn't get along well with anyone here!"
Meaning-No pixelmon in the Ranch are compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg-All of it

3.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] has a crush on [insert pixelmon name here], but doesn't feel comfortable in this environment!"
Meaning-Unsuitable environment, pixelmon are compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg-No way Jose

4.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] likes [insert pixelmon name here] a tiny bit more every day!"
Meaning- Suitable environment, pixelmon compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg- 2 hours and 30 minutes

5.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] is more attracted to [insert pixelmon name here] every day!"
Meaning- Suitable environment, pixelmon compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg- 1 hour and 15 minutes

6.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here]'s love for [insert pixelmon name here] grows rapidly every day!"
Meaning-Suitable environment, pixelmon compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg- 50 minutes

7.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] falls madly in love with [insert pixelmon name here] every single day!"
Meaning-Suitable environment, pixelmon compatible for breeding
Time Until Egg-37 and a half minutes

8.
Message-"[insert pixelmon name here] loves [insert pixelmon name here] as much as possible"
Meaning-YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AN EGG

Now that you have the Egg, it will be in your PC if your party was full. Put the Egg in your party and walk around until it hatches. You can check the process of it by going to where the summary would be if it were a regular pixelmon. When it hatches, it will be a level one pixelmon. The egg will hatch into the Mother's lowest form, unless it's parents were a Ditto and another pixelmon, which in that case it will be the non-Ditto parent's lowest form(with the exceptions mentioned earlier).

With eggs, certain things can be passed down from generation to generation. An egg will get a total of 3 of its IVs from it's parents, unless one parent was holding a Destiny Knot, in which case 5 total IVs would be passed down. The held items used for Ev training can also pass down the IV of the parent holding it to the offspring. A parent holding a Power Weight will pass its HP IV down to the child.

The pixelmon that hatches from the egg will be in the same Pokeball as the Mother, unless the mother was caught in a Master Ball or Cherish Ball.

Growth can also be passed down. The offspring will be the growth that is inbetween the Parents growth. In order to get Microscopic pixelmon, 2 pygmy pixelmon must be bred, and 2 enormous pixelmon must be bred to get a Ginormous one. The offspring of any pixelmon with a Ginormous or Microscopic growth will have a 1 in 3 chance of inheriting it.

The offspring has an 80% chance of inheriting the mother's ability, and a 60% chance of inheriting the father's if it was bred with a Ditto.

There are also moves that can be passed down, even if the offspring can not normally learn them. If either parent knows one of the offsprings egg moves, the offspring will inherit it. Most of those can not be learned any other way. Offspring can also inherit TM or HM moves that the parents know. Finally, if either parent knows a move the offspring learns via leveling up, the offspring will inherit it. If more then 4 moves fit those criteria, Egg moves will have priority over the others, and if more then 4 egg moves are possible, the egg moves from the mother will have priority.

If a parent is holding an Everstone, it's nature will be passed down. If both parents are holding an Everstone, the nature will be randomly selected from the 2.

Final note, breeding will always have a 1 out of 8192 chance of being shiny. Breeding two pixelmon with different Original Trainers will result in a 1 out of 4096 chance of being shiny. A lot of people think this, but no, breeding 2 shinies does not affect the chances of the offspring being shiny. It sucks, I know.

that should just about be everything about breeding that there is. I hope this answered any question you might have had, ad feel free to correct me or add anything I may have missed. Good luck and happy breeding :)
